When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. One fancies a heart like our own must be beating in every crystal and cell, and we feel like stopping to speak to the plants and animals as friendly fellow mountaineers. Nature as a poet, an enthusiastic workingman, becomes more and more visible the farther and higher we go; for the mountains are fountains — beginning places, however related to sources beyond mortal ken.

have you ever felt that everything is interconnected?
there is an amazing phenomena in quantum physics called "quantum entanglement". it states that one particle can directly and instantaneously influence the behaviour of another particle no matter how far apart in the universe they are. this obviously defies the classic understanding of time and space, but it is a legit concept that you can easily google (and get lost into). albert einstein initially described this as "spooky action at a distance", but now we know it as a quantum superposition of joint particles; which are in fact two parts of the same wave moving always in opposite directions or polarities.
in spirituality, this is referred to as duality. we perceive ordinary reality as dual or fragmented, so that our brains get to experience this realm bit by bit. comparing one thing to another in linearity in order to progressively learn. as we develop our consciousness as a result of life experiences and our passage through levels of existence, we naturally begin to notice seemingly weird coincidences occur. these will usually turn into advanced synchronicities the further we evolve, helping us to gradually understand what yogis call the "illusion of separation". this is why advanced meditators will tell you that the more you train your spiritual muscle (awareness), the more you get to experience yourself and everything around you as a single thing (god).
what fascinates me of this concept is that its all encompassing nature guides us to hold opposing actions, concepts, far removed cultures, ideals and let them be. coexist. soon we will notice the magical thread between them. their karma.
