Philippe Sickout

Painting appeared to Philippe in 2018 as a saving grace, first giving shape and color to his writings, and later depicting realities specific to each person. The emotion of his paintings is mainly driven by introspection, notably through the impact of life on him but also the impact that life has on itself. His compositions often depict living beings accompanied by and a set of material or immaterial elements that blend reality with a dreamlike state. By using a combination of blues, purples, reds, and black and white, Philippe's paintings carry a distinct signature that has become the essence of his pictorial DNA.
